Welcome to my absolutely flat page. Nothing on this page is clickable at the moment except for two underlined bits of text.

I work in the area of design for interaction and use(r) research.

At the moment most of my working life is spent as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at the TU Delft, NL.

Besides that, I do self-initiated and commissioned projects that investigate notions of product usage. Collaboration with others, including Stefan Gross.

A short short summary:
2002 PhD on design and user research from Staffordshire University, UK

1994 product design degree from HBK Saar, Saarbrücken, Germany.

I have consulted for companies such as Akzo Nobel and Sphinx. I have collaborated on graduation projects with TNO, Philips Research, O'Neill and a number of SMEs and non-governmental organisations.

I have done teaching stints and given lectures at other institutions than Delft, for example the UdK Berlin, the HKU Utrecht and the HBK Saarbrücken.

um, what else ...

I love going to festivals and concerts with friends (in any weather). I cannot play the guitar except for the chords to "Ein bisschen Liebe" and "Smoke on the water". I play badminton, ski when I can, windsurf when I can bring myself to get all the gear together (so, very rarely).

with Alexandra and Stefan me and my mum the best of times!
