A map of the combined farms of Ravelaw and Easter Laws from 1825 is to be seen in NAS. The names It shows that the farm had its own reservoir as well as a stackyard, and every field had a name.:
Easter Laws:
West Unthank, North Hill, Mid park, Laws South Park
Ravelaw:
West Unthank, East Unthank, Calf Park, Onstead Park, Ravelaw Bank, Back of Beyond, Hinds Park, Smooth Rig, South Leet, Crofts.
Langrigg Farm is a line of fields between Easter Laws and Ravelaw, and also has a field called Unthank aligned with the other 2--this may reflect an older division of the land.
